This Just In Folks....The Fix May Be In...
Call me a conspiracy theorist if you want to, but I'm just looking for an 'Amen' from somebodyelse that doesn't think I'm crazy...So I was listening to my car radio yesterday (one of the AM talk radio stations), where of course the topic was about the 2008 elections. To make a long story short, they were talking about polls for the general election if held today. If held today, neither Huckabee, or Mitt Romney have much of a chance against either democratic candidate. But if it were John McCain, Hillary Clinton has the lead against John McCain, hence making her very viable in beating him in November. If it were Obama against John McCain, the two are virtually neck in neck with Obama with a very slight lead. Hence, in an Obama and McCain race, McCain could very well become the next President of the United States. There are definitely some people in this country that would like to McCain take the White House, and I believe some powers that be, may just be trying to put the fix in. Am I stretching? Do I sound crazy?...well lo and behold, the freshest news is that the Los Angeles Times is endorsing Obama AND McCain. http://www.editorandpublisher.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003699878. Okay first, I can understand that some papers are either conservative or liberal. I understand that. So if an entity like the L.A. Times, one of the top five largest circulation newspapers in the country wants to endorse someone, more power to them - though it's been since '72 since they've done that. However, what sense does it make to endorse a democratic and republican candidate? Would it be to help set a certain stage in November? Come to find out, the last person who was endorsed by the Times was Richard Nixon - a Republican. So the paper considers itself to be liberal, but they endorsed Nixon, and this year, they endorse McCain? I'm confused... The paper has never before endorsed a democrat. You might say to yourself, "well, that's good for Obama then." And you would be right. My point is, that 2008 is an extremely important year in terms of elections for this country. Whatever candidate has your endorsement, remember that after Super Tuesday is over, November will be the month where we decide who the next President will be. So even if your candidate doesn't make it to the general election, keep in mind who would be best in moving the country forward when November comes - and get out and vote.
